This Lightroom plug-in allows you export photos directly to the PhotoBox online service (www.photobox.co.uk) According to PhotoPlus, PhotoBox is one of the UK's longest established and consistently top-ranked digital printing services. Despite the fact that their web site is easy to use and has many good tools, one very important tool is missing. Guess what it is? Well, you guessed right - a Lightroom plug-in to let photographers upload their creations directly from their favorite photo editing program. Luckily for them, AlloyPhoto is here to bridge the gap! I am releasing this plug-in under the Shareware license. If you are running an unregistered copy, you will be limited to upload only 10 photos at a time. To remove this limitation, a registration fee of $15 is required (per single user). Here is the link to the plug-in home page: Photobox Plug-in

Version 1.12 is available for download. This update fixes the issue with uploading photos caused by a recent change in the MobileMe service.
Version 1.11 is available for download. This update fixes some issues under Lightroom 3 Beta 2 and adds some minor improvements.
Version 1.12 is available for download. This update adds the ability to automatically check for plug-in updates. To enable the option for automatic checking for plug-in updates, go to the Plug-in Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+,) and select Costco Photo Center in the list of installed plug-ins on the left-hand side. The Plug-in Info panel will display the Costco Export Plug-in status information. Select the Check for updates automatically check box. Another handy addition is the option to open selected album in the web browser. To use this feature click the Preview Album button located below the album thumbnail. And finally, I had to change the version number back to the classic format. Older versions of the plug-in may not report the availability of the update, however, starting with this version everything should go smoothly. Besides, now you have the automatic version checker built into the plug-in.
Version 1.9 is available for download. This update fixes the issue with creating new albums when you do several consequent export operations and create more than one album.
Version 1.4 is available for download. I was able to find a workaround for the issue with uploads meant for an existing album going into a new album instead. Also, implemented an option for automatic checking for plug-in updates. The new option can be found in Lightroom Plug-in Manager in the Plug-in Info section.
Export List Plug-in version 1.3 is available for download.

Changes:

  • Now the plug-in generates output even if the template contains misspelled metadata field names
  • The option names in drop-down lists are no longer truncated.
  • Added the option for automatic checking for plug-in updates (see the Plug-in Info section in Lightroom Plug-in Manager)

Version 1.8 is available for download.

Now you can specify how to handle duplicate photo uploads when you export to an existing album. The default method is to re-upload all of the selected photos, which may create duplicates if some of the selected photos were previously uploaded. You can also choose to skip or replace previously uploaded copies.

Another important addition is the option to override the default MobileMe Gallery sorting. MobileMe sorts photos in they order they were added, however, in the reverse order, so most recently added photos appear at the beginning of the album. The new option allows you to enforce natural ordering of uploaded photos, as they are ordered in the filmstrip. Also, when you add more photos to an album, they appear at the end of the album.

The new options can be found under the MobileMe Gallery Options section in the Export dialog:

MobileMe Gallery Options

NOTE: Both these features are available only to registered users.

Version 1.6 is available for download. This release fixes an embarrassing issue with uploading photos, which was introduced when I implemented the feature for previewing albums. Now it looks like the code is stable, however, please let me know if you encounter any issues. The sooner you report your issues the sooner they will be fixed.
