I just came back from a two weeks trip to St.Petersburg, Russia.
Here are some photos I took in Peterghof (aka Peterhof, Petrodvorets), one of St. Petersburg’s most famous and popular visitor attractions.
Originally I had this gallery published in a different format. Now that I have migrated my site to a new server I can finally re-publish my galleries using the awesome NextGen gallery plugin.
To week ago I returned from a trip to Alaska. We flew into Anchorage and took a land tour from to Seward, then a sea cruise to Vancouver. It was amazing! Below are a few animal photos I took on the trip. This is what you may expect to see in the land of the midnight sun.
This afternoon my family and I took a short trip to Loantaka Park where I shot these photos. These a little pond with many ducks and a couple of magnificent swans. They are very friendly and seem to like being around people, I guess because many visitors bring them food.

I just wanted wish everyone lots of love and happiness in the new 2010 year!
These photos were taken last year during our annual skiing trip to Salt Lake City. Our favorite spot is Cottonwood Canyon area – Alta, Brighton, Snowbird. Usually I am a bit leery about taking my camera up on the mountain, but that day I felt I’d get a chance to snap a few memorable shots.
This year we are going again, leaving Dec 22nd and returning in a week. Hopefully, there will be more pictures to show.

Here is a picture of Alcatraz Lighthouse from my trip to San Francisco back in October.
The original Alcatraz Lighthouse was the first one built on the west coast. In 1909, this 84-foot concrete tower replaced the original, which was damaged in the 1906 earthquake.

A couple of weeks ago I discovered for myself a beautiful park in northern New Jersey – Allamuchy Mountain State Park, nearby Waterloo Village. It’s great for hiking, biking, mountain climbing, trout fishing, you name it! It also offers some nice views. I look forward to exploring it more next spring, and hopefully finding time to catch some of that trout.

No, this is not a cat lover’s blog! Below is just a random daily photo. This time there is a couple of shots of my new friend, Michelle, who joined our family about 2 months ago. She’s very cute and very, very, very curious!
