If you worry about the upcoming release of Apple’s iCloud solution
and its effect on the MobileMe Gallery, you can easily back up your online photos and upload them to another gallery hosting solution using the ReclaimMe Module, added in version 1.24.

The ReclaimMe for MobileMe is an optional module. It requires a separate registration fee of $20 (USD) per single user.

Version 1.23.0 is available for download.

This update features many fixes and also implements several plugin-specific metadata fields for keeping track of photos uploaded via the MobileMe plug-in. These fields store the upload status, date and time of the latest upload, and the direct URL to access the exported photo at MobileMe. You can access these fields in library filters, view them in the metadata browser (as “MobileMe Metadata” tagset) and in smart collection filters.

Descriptions of the “Extras” features introduced in version 1.22.0 are now available on the MobileMe Plug-in Advanced Features page.

Version 1.22.0 is available for download.

This release offers a number of advanced features for synchronizing albums on MobileMe with your Lightroom catalog. Now you can import existing albums into your MobileMe publish service and populate them with previously uploaded photos.

The new version also allows you to clear the “Modified to Re-Publish” flag or synchronize metadata, i.e. upload only titles and captions for selected photos. Now you can even select any photo in an album and make it the album cover.

To access these features, navigator File > Plug-in Extras > MobileMe Gallery Export Plug-in Extras from the main menu. I am planning to post a detailed description of the advanced features in the next couple of days.

The new version also provides support for video file uploads (maximum size is 100 MB per single file). Note, MobileMe accepts only a handful of video formats, make sure your video is in one of the supported formats, otherwise the upload will be rejected.

Version 1.21.3 is available for download.

This is a maintenance release fixing a number of issues and improving validation of Image Sizing settings.
This time the autoupdate feature should work without issues. To apply the autoupdate:

• From Lightroom’s main menu, go File > Plug-in Manager
• Select MobileMe Gallery in the list on the left hand side.
• Click Check for Updates in the Plug-in Info section on the right.
• Review the list of changes and click Download Update
• After the update has been applied, restart Lightroom for the changes to take effect.

I am excited to announce the official release of version 1.21.2.

This version had been in beta for almost 2 months. I am very pleased there were only a few issues; each addressed quickly and fixed on the first attempt.

If you are still running version 1.20 you should check out the plug-in home page for a long list of improvements and new features.

If you are were running the beta version, you should upgrade anyway – there are a couple of additional fixes in this release (including a fix for the autoupdate feature). There should be no excuses for running an older version!
