I wanted to thank you for your amazing work – the plugin is absolutely awesome, and I’m thinking about scrapping my entire website and turn it into a Piwigo gallery in order to be able to maintain through your plugin directly from LR. Great work!!

Hello,
I use the PiwigoExport_1.4.2 with great pleasure, but I have 2 basic questions, that may not be related to the plugin:
1- The upload of photos, even in high definition, is now very fast. But once done, there is a second phase with comments download and this one is very long to be achieved. Comments come right but as there are only some words to keep and on only a few photos, I wonder why tit is so time consuming. Did I forget anything in the settings of the plugin?
2- Piwigo, with some extra plugin (Charlies content) allows to work with videos. I cannot access this in the settings of the plugin as the files settings are grayed. JPEG is validated by default, Include video files cannot be selected and the sole choice I have is to change the JPEG quality. By the way, this is something I would not like to change and post the photos as they are on LR. Any way to change this?
Vladimir, have a nice vacation and fun with family. This is not very urgent as I still have months of work with my gallery.
1. In version 1.4.3 there will be some optimization regarding comment extraction, I expect this step to be faster.
2. Support for video uploads – the Charlies Content plug-in currently relies on manual upload of video files and thumbnails to a FTP folder, there is no API method that would allow me to upload videos. I asked the Piwigo team if they would consider adding support for video content uploads; this feature would depend on their response.
Thanks! 🙂

Hi Vladimir,
As usual, fast and clear answers.
I will obviously wait for 1.4.3 with great interest…
If Piwigo, and so your plugin doe not manage videos yet, could you adapt your plugin to not be disturbed by them?
When I upload an album, the uploads warns me that videos are impossible to upload, but then waits for my OK before to continue. Hence, I cannot start an upload and come back later to see it done. I come back but with the window asking me to accept that videos were not considered. It should really be fine to escape this in the future (and return to it (:) when videos will be in Piwigo).
Kind regards,
Philippe, could you e-mail me a screenshot of the warning message that comes up? I am afraid the message is generated by Lightroom, not by the plug-in.
